Job Description:
DPSM Consultants have been exclusively retained by Greenkeepers by N&V to search for a Head of Agronomy to oversee four golf facilities in Finland. The four facilities are:
- Tuusulan Golfklubi – http://www.tuusulangolfklubi.fi/
- Vantaan Golfpuisto – http://vantaangolfpuisto.fi/
- Hiekkaharju Golf – http://www.hieg.fi/
- Golf Park Leppävaara – http://www.golfpark.fi/
Role:
- Agronomic direction
- Participates in creating a long-term course development plan for each facility
- Prepares an annual maintenance program for each facility together with Golf Course Superintendents
- Prepares an annual agronomy budget for each facility and achieves financial goals throughout the year
- Actively manages the implementation of the agronomy programs
- Plans and implements maintenance staff training programs
- Negotiates purchase agreements with suppliers for golf course inputs and maintains supplier relationships
- Communicates continuously with the key stakeholders through formal reports, newsletters, blogs and social media updates
- Supports new sales projects in an advisory role
- At times participates in carrying out daily maintenance tasks

- Cultural practices
- Reports to the Managing Director
Requirements:
- Degree in Turfgrass Management or Agronomy
- Advanced knowledge of agronomy and turfgrass management practices
- Solid understanding of European Union regulations affecting use of pesticides and herbicides on golf courses
- Experience in managing various turfgrass varieties
- Diplomatic team player
- Golfer
